Stargazing
Greetings, traveler. You have come to our world at a dark time. A terrible curse has fallen upon us, and the sky has turned black. The stars, our guides and protectors, have vanished from our sight. We are lost and afraid.
But you have a gift, a power that we do not possess. You can relight the sky with your touch, and restore the ancient constellations that once shone above us. You can bring back the stars, and with them, hope and joy.
Help us relight our sky.
Controls
- Left click - light star
- Right click - complete constellation
(note that depending on rule checks, the constellation may be completed automatically)
Rules
1. Amount of stars in a constellation - minimum 3, maximum 10. While there are less than 3 points in a constellation, you will not be able to cancel, so plan your path
2. The lines cannot overlay on top of another (but same star can have multiple lines drawn out of it)
3. Stars can't be too far away from each other
Description
This is my second game, made for WeekSauce Game Jam (theme - 'Cosmic Wonders'), while learning the Godot game engine.
There are a couple nit-picks I have, like toast messages not showing up or a lack of a clear goal (such as connect x stars of y colour in a z pattern); but otherwise I am happy with what I've achieved and what I've learned.
The starfield is random, and the win state is based on the amount of stars filled in the sky.
